About Louisa Morgan

“Because Louisa is so passionate about her area of study, sessions with her are extremely informative and she has fascinated me with the science of singing, all of which has helped my technique.”

Louisa Morgan is a lecturer, voice teacher and researcher, with a special focus on spoken and sung emotion. Currently based in South Wales in the UK, Louisa lectures with the Voice Study Centre (Spoken Voice Lead) and teaches Musical Theatre students on the MA/MFA course at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA). Private clients are mostly musical theatre performers and non-singing actors. She has experience in working in UK drama schools on Acting and Musical Theatre courses as a spoken voice coach (including accents and dialects) and as a singing teacher. Prior to moving into lecturing and research, Louisa taught privately for fifteen years as a voice, singing, and audition coach. Louisa has an MA in Vocal Pedagogy (distinction) and is currently a PhD candidate at GSA through the University of Surrey, focusing on emotion research in Acting Through Song. She also holds a three-year diploma in Acting with Directing and a BA (hons) in English and Literary Studies (First Class). She is a Vocal Process accredited teacher, mentored by Dr Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher and was the editor for AOTOS (the Association of Teachers of Singing) from 2023-2025. She has recently presented at VASTA’s 2025 conference, focusing on how emotions can interrupt accents and dialects for actors.
