About Louisa
Louisa Morgan is a voice coach, lecturer, and researcher, with a focus on spoken and sung emotion. Currently based in South Wales in the UK, Louisa is a Senior Lecturer for the Voice Study Centre (Spoken Voice Lead) and coaches freelance for musical theatre performers, non-singing actors, and as an executive voice coach for those in business and leadership positions.
Previously, Louisa taught musical theatre students on the MA/MFA course at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA), Musical Theatre students on the BA course and CertHE course at Italia Conti, and Acting students at the (now closed) Cygnet Training Theatre. She has experience working in UK drama schools as both a technical singing teacher, acting-through-song coach, and spoken voice coach (including text work and accents and dialects). Louisa has also coached privately for more than fifteen years as a voice, singing, and audition coach. She worked professionally as a director, actor and singer before concentrating on coaching. Louisa was the editor for AOTOS (the Association of Teachers of Singing) from 2023-2025
Corporate Voice Coaching and Public Speaking: Louisa has coached speakers privately in a one-to-one or small group setting since 2013. She has worked with C-Level professionals as well as barristers, lecturers and many other professionals needing to communicate effectively.
As a Senior Lecturer in Vocal Pedagogy, Louisa lectures in vocal function as well as a wide range of topics spanning both spoken and sung voice. She regularly runs courses through the Voice Study Centre and privately for other coaches/teachers, performers, and executive voice clients. She is actively involved in research and presents regularly at conferences and other speaking engagements. Recently she has presented for PEVoC, VASTA, AOTOS, and at the Theatrical Voice Research Centre Conference.

- Currently a PhD candidate at the Guildford School of Acting through the University of Surrey, focusing on the impact of emotion on the voice in musical theatre performance
- MA Vocal Pedagogy (distinction)
- Three-year Diploma in Acting with Directing
- BA (hons) English and Literary Studies (First Class)

- Ledbury Poetry Festival Prize for best essay on poetry (for an essay on seventeenth century poetry)
