Coaches working with Louisa

Louisa is lucky enough to mentor two fantastic coaches, both based in the South-West. See below for full details.

Kathryn Kerley

Kathryn specialises in the teen singing voice, working with most genres but with a keen interest in Musical Theatre and Classical singing for the adolescent voice.

Voices change throughout our lives, but the teen years can be a tricky time for the changing voice for all genders. Learn to look after your voice, and explore techniques to help you on your vocal journey.

It’s never too early to prep for Drama School and Conservatoires. In fact the earlier you can prepare, the more prepared you’ll be. Katy helps to not only guide the changing voice, but offer help and advice about where to train and study. As well as singing techniques to help elevate you as a singer, Katy also helps guide you through Acting Through Song to help you as an overall performer, and set you apart from others.

Katy is a qualified Vocal Health First Aider (certified by Vocal Health Education) and will guide students understanding of their own vocal anatomy, and how it helps you to really know and understand your own voice, and the changes that will be or are already happening.
Katy also enjoys helping students towards their LCMe, RSL and ABRSM exams, later grades also carry UCAS points which will be useful if applying to higher education through UCAS, but also give good grounding for those wanting to take their musical education to the next level.

Kathryn teaches private one-to-one lessons in Kingkerswell and online, as well as teaching as a peripatetic voice teacher at Newton Abbot College.

Pete Rawcliffe

Pete has been studying voice for 6 years now. He has been recording and singing for many years with a repertoire spanning from Classical all the way through to rock/metal.

Pete sings with symphonic metal band Crown Solace, using his sopranist vocal range and styling. With a 3.5 octave range Pete is able to provide examples of the voice from Baritone to Soprano, helping navigate most types of vocalists. He is able to teach all genres of music and has done through his time as a coach. He uses a clear method of communication to convey techniques that will trouble-shoot areas within the voice.

Pete is always happy to consult with potential students prior to booking, as he understands that the teacher has to be a good fit for the student. This can take place over the phone or online and you are under no obligation to book.

Pete teaches one-to-one private lessons in and near Exeter and online.
