A few kind words from some of my clients.
“Louisa has helped me with my new job as a Joni Mitchell tribute (no small task).
I went to Louisa as a full-time professional singer who had hit a vocal ceiling in terms of my range and stamina. She broke through that ceiling in one session by teaching me proper vocal care and guiding me through my range. Where before I was suffering from post-gig fatigue and soreness, I now have a daily warm-up, a pre-gig warm-up and a post-gig care routine that have improved my tone and most importantly the ease with which I sing.
Louisa has opened up areas of my voice I didn’t know I had- most notably my range (she has uncovered an extra half an octave at the top) and the extent to which I can take my M1 register by teaching me how to use my body properly. In just a handful of sessions I have become a stronger and much more confident singer.
She has taught me techniques that Joni has used in different stages of her career, spanning folk, jazz classical and rock ‘n’ roll and I am absolutely stunned by what I can now do vocally.
Because Louisa is so passionate about her area of study, sessions with her are extremely informative and she has fascinated me with the science of singing, all of which has helped my technique.”
Isabelle nutton – professional singer in a joni mitchell tribute act
“I began singing lessons with Louisa when I first started college in 2017 and wanted to improve on some of the technical elements of my singing, and in all honesty putting my trust in Louisa was one of the best decisions of my life. She is the most brilliant, patient and genuinely caring teacher that I have ever had the pleasure of being taught by. Over the past four years she has absolutely transformed my voice with her extremely detailed and personalised teaching methods, and the vast improvements I have accomplished have been so beneficial to my training in Musical Theatre.
This year I have been lucky enough to have been offered a place at one of my top drama schools, Performers College, not to mention having several waiting list offers and many recalls from other schools such as Mountview, Italia Conti, Bird College and more, and I honestly couldn’t have achieved any of it without Louisa’s incredible support and the exceptional training she provides. I am currently arranging with Louisa additional lessons over Zoom for when I start Performers in September, as I can’t bear to let her and her expertise go!
As Louisa is such an informative and kind – hearted person, as well as a teacher, I know that she is always just a message away to help with any of my vocal or just general performing related worries, and I’ve lost count of all of the times she’s been the solution to a problem! Overall, being taught by Louisa is essential for any individual’s vocal success, as her valuable strategies and methods are so consistently effective, the fact that she is such a lovely person is just a bonus!“ Lily, 2021

“Louisa exudes an expert grasp of her subject in both theory and practice. She is flexible, skilled and over the past year has taken me into singing territory that I might have imagined was beyond me or even impossible were it not for her skilful coaching. I feel lucky to have found her: I’ve still much to learn, but without my confidence in Louisa I wouldn’t be where I am today. I highly recommend her to you.“

“Having sung in choirs for most of my life I finally decided to have singing lessons and what a stroke of luck to find Louisa. Her lessons are fun and packed with tips and insights tailored to fit my personal needs. She has taught me so much about the technicalities of singing, how to sustain my breathing, how to use my body to project the sound, how to discover a personal range that I never thought possible. It has been a complete revelation to me and I wish I had found her years ago. “
